2025 Highlights

2025.02.01 Paper accepted: Chen, H., Zendehdel, N., Leu, M.C. and Yin, Z., 2025. A gaze-driven manufacturing assembly assistant system with integrated step recognition, repetition analysis, and real-time feedback. Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 144, p.110076.

2024.08.26 Began serving as a teaching assistant for the Industrial AI (ENME 691), designed more than 10 lecture slides of different machine learning methods in industrial PHM study and gave at least 5 lectures and guided graduate students.
2024.05.20 Attended the Graduation Ceremony in Mechanical Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Celebrated the successful completion of my Ph.D. program and the beginning of new professional endeavors.
2024.02.15 Successfully completed my graduation defense in Mechanical Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. This milestone marks the culmination of my doctoral studies in mechanical engineering, and I am excited to embark on the next phase of my professional journey.
2024.03.02 Attended the annual Frost Museum Science and Engineering Day! Presented the “Clouds in the Bottle” and “Laser-Cloud Interactions” demonstrations

2023.11.15 Presented “Real-time Human-Computer Interaction Using Eye Gazes” at the 51st SME North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC 51), contributing to advancements in human-computer interaction technologies.

2023.01.07 Completed an internship at Peloton, where I worked as a machine learning engineer on developing advanced pose estimation and repetitive action counting models using transformer models and attention mechanisms.

2022.11.08 Wonderful time on STEMday working together with middle school students on Nov. 8th. Thanks to Niloofar Zendehdel for preparing the project using the single-chip microcomputer.
